Tivin Standard Poodles

A Higher Standard of Excellence

History 2009

This year started with our annual trip to the Westminster Kennel Club dog show, where we watched the exciting breed and group win by the standard poodle Ch Randenn Tristar Affirmation ("Yes").  Unfortunately, she did not go on to win Best In Show, the honor of which was taken by Stump, the sussex spaniel.  However, much fun was enjoyed by all and we returned to Connecticut exhausted but happy with our New York trip.  Someday we hope to have a Westminster group (dare I say best in show) winner...

Connor (Ch Tivin It's A Kind of Magic) grew enough hair and maturity to return to the ring in March, and completed his singles for his conformation title shown by Adriano Rocha for three shows, Brian Still for 2 shows and Chris for 1 show.  He obtained his fifteenth point by going Best of Breed on April 26th.  Connor is the 18th champion for Tivin poodles, and we look forward to selectively specialing him in the fall.  It is now his sister's turn for the ring, and Caitlyn will be owner-handled by Chris through the spring and summer.  Click on the "show dog" button for up-to-date information on both of their careers.

Lucy (Tivin In the Sky with Diamonds) had a gorgeous litter of puppies the last day of April, sired by Ch Ale Kai A Walk in the Park on Fifth.  We have kept two puppies from the litter to be shown, including Micah, a handsome black boy living with our friend Sandy and Charo, a beautiful black bitch living with Danielle of Lauris Standards. Click on the "show dog" button for updates on their careers as they grow and mature.
